There's one specific yet simple reason why the researchers don't wear blindfolds, unlike the other members of the [RESTLESS_SONS|Inexorable League]: with a spiritual eye, you may be able to defend against attacks, but you certainly can't read books. How would they get any research done if they wore a blindfold?
