[115960|Larissa Pewter]wants you to bring her 3 units of [<S>201718|Moon Silver Sand], [<S>201720|Abyss-Mercury Sand] and [<S>201721|Rune Obsidian Sand].

Teach you the knowledge of mining? I don't look like a miner, do I? I am a scholar of minerals! What I can help you with is teaching you how to recognize minerals that possess special strengths, and how to deal with them.

If this is what you want to learn, then I'm willing to pass these skills on to you. However, this type of knowledge is a bit different from what you've learned before, so I'll start with some of the minerals you're already familiar with!

Please bring me 3 units of [201718|Moon Silver Sand], [201720|Abyss-Mercury Sand] and [201721|Rune Obsidian Sand]. The remaining material will be provided by me.

First of all we must break these gemstones... Don't be so surprised, ok? It is necessary for research and analysis. We can't understand the true forces hidden within minerals just by their appearance.

In fact, the pursuit of truth will always result in some damage since much knowledge in the world is obscure to us. If you don't make any effort or sacrifice, you will not gain any knowledge. Take mining for example. Doesn't the process of obtaining valuable minerals scar the surface of the land? But the damage that can be seen is easier to grasp than the damage that cannot be seen. More often than not, things you thought cause no damage often result in having to pay a big price.

Anyway! Let's get back to the characteristics of gemstones.

Though I am dressed like a scholar, sometimes I am stained head to foot with dirt from my research. At those times, there's really no difference between myself and the average miner.

Sometimes I think how amazing it is. I love tidiness, and I like dressing up very much. But I would forget all that when I am out doing my research. Knowledge is even more fascinating than I thought!
