The Truth of the Picture

Tell [112142|Majoshat Oley] what [112223|Ondas Chanep] said about the [203692|Family Portrait].

There are three people in the picture. The Old Fella will never forget that big guy on the left. His name was [100337|Huck] and he was first mate of the Black Mary. I lost track of him after he betrayed Captain [101535|Snow Blake]. They say that recently a beastman has appeared in [ZONE_SHADOWMOON COVE|Shadowmoon Cove] who goes by the same name. Some say that he's first mate [100337|Huck], transformed into a beast by the Blake Family curse, but I've only heard so. If you want to know the truth of it you'll have to investigate for yourself.

As for the woman holding the little girl on the right, they're [100337|Huck's] family. The woman was called [112208|Ely Nausicaa]. I only remember her because she had a very unusual family name. Their daughter was called Elsbeth or something like that. The Old Fella can't say for certain. Those two drowned at sea.

They say the look-out named Luke only looked away for a second before the ship hit a reef outside Shahar Harbor. [100337|Huck's] daughter fell into the water. The mother dived into the freezing water to save her daughter, but by the time [100337|Huck] arrived, both had disappeared from the surface.

And that's the long and short of it. Here's your [203692|Family Portrait] back. The Old Fella's told you everything he remembers about the people in the picture, 'cause he likes you. Very helpful, huh?

You said someone sent you, so you should probably go back and let them know the truth of it. Go on?!

So that's what happened...perhaps that's how [112138|Tooda] came to be raised by Chelons. It was destiny...

[112138|Tooda], no, her name is Elsbeth, is [100337|Huck's] daughter... Hang on, if that's true, if the [100337|Huck] in [ZONE_SHADOWMOON COVE|Shadowmoon Cove] really is the Black Mary's first mate [100337|Huck], then he must have brought the Chelons and his daughter from [ZONE_SHADOWMOON COVE|Shadowmoon Cove] to the [ZONE_SHACKLED COAST|Shackle Coast]?!

Looks like I'll have to keep looking after Elsbeth... Ah, I'm so used to calling her [112138|Tooda]. I must keep watching over [112138|Tooda]. It's my destiny. ..

I'm so grateful to you, fearless, selfless adventurer. I will often think of you. Happy trails to you, 'til we meet again.

I think that [203692|Family Portrait] is definitely connected somehow to [112138|Tooda's] past.

If you can sort this out, and maybe inform her family, then maybe [112138|Tooda] can find her way home...
