Scattered Memories

Enter [ZONE_VEILED_BRIM|The Haze] and look for Kidd's [<S>209971|Memory Rune Fragments].

Do you remember after you saw Kidd's estate?

Did you notice it? Is the angel sculpture in [ZONE_VEILED_BRIM|The Haze] familiar to you? It's the figurehead of the Purgatory, modeled on the image of Kidd's beloved. You've already seen her likeness before.

Haha, no doubt you're wondering how I know so much about Kidd, right?

I certainly don't have those amazing runic powers like Kidd. Everything I know comes from studying old writings. Is it possible that Kidd ultimately led me here? I followed the callings of the [<S>123214|Memory Rune Fragments] in [ZONE_VEILED_BRIM|The Haze]. But my skills are limited, and I could only collect the [<S>123214|fragments] outside [ZONE_VEILED_BRIM|The Haze]. If you want to learn more about Kidd, you'll have to enter [ZONE_VEILED_BRIM|The Haze] and bring back the [<S>209971|Memory Rune Fragments]. We'll be able to piece together more of Kidd's memories with them.

Yes, yes! This truly is Kidd's memory.

([123211|Dalina] gently strokes the [<S>123214|Memory Rune Fragments] and reads the curious runes engraved on them. She seems to be completely enraptured, swaying back and forth, almost as if she were in another world. All of a sudden she starts to talk to herself.)

Beloved... Tashayowa? Wait, I... I... I... will find a way... to lead... and find you... wait...

The figurehead... she is carved in the image of Tashayowa... so... that I can always see her... good... Tashayowa can lead the Purgatory... to find her...

(After speaking with Kidd's voice, [123211|Dalina] falls silent and becomes very distant.)

There are no coincidences in this world, only destinies. We're here because Kidd's runic powers led us here. Maybe this power will keep us here, until such time as Kidd's past reveals itself to us.
