Adorable Mutants

Help the [WISDOM_EYE|Eye of Wisdom] researcher at [ZONE_BLUEGAZE_CAMP|Azure Camp], [124438|LaRey Pinocardi], by setting up [243503|Traps] in the [ZONE_NIGHTCLOAK_FOREST|Veiled Forest] to catch some [243504|Mutated Demon Herbs].

The mutated creatures out there are really adorable...

Oh, that was rather inappropriate! Don't go thinking that one of those [109465|Mutated Pukaris] has bitten me and infected me with the Decay, or that I've gone insane from the enormous pressures of my work. I find them adorable from a purely scientific perspective.

Finding out how these creatures change themselves is very satisfying work, don't you think? For example, soon I will have proven that the [109461|Mutated Flesh-Eating Plants] are merely an advanced mutation of the [109466|Mutated Demon Weed] and the mutation has come about as a result of their particularly developed level of Decay. But first I will need to test that once more.

Could you help me set up these [243503|Traps] so we can catch a few more of these [243504|Mutated Demon Weeds]? Just a few more tests and then the results can go into my official report.

Thank you for your help. But I have to admit that my original theory has led me into a dead end. The thing is...

Well, the real question is whether the mutated demon herbs have changed into flesh-eating plants because of some natural tendency they already had, or whether it really is as a result of the growing effect of the foul magic.

Maybe we should put some [109466|Mutated Demon Weeds] in an area where the foul magic is very prevalent, so we can see what changes that brings about. And I'll raise one [109466|Mutated Demon Weed] in my laboratory, as something to compare the others to.

Hmm, yes, that's exactly how I'll do it!
