Manticos the Dragon

Listen carefully to [115366|Morrok Wallinder].

It wasn't always like this. I came here once when [115394|Manticos] still occupied this place. At that time the elements were still very stable, despite the fluctuations caused by [115394|Manticos'] constant bellowing.

I once heard other Dragons say that in the distant past [115394|Manticos] and [115395|Alimus Grimgold], the builder of this tomb, were very close. Perhaps it was his connection to the element of earth that led him to trust [115395|Alimus Grimgold], who was an Earth Spirit, and that led to the tragic events that followed.

The Grimgold Clan has since ancient times been greedy and drawn towards the darkness, and [115395|Alimus Grimgold] was first among them. He exploited the closeness between Earth Spirits and Earth Dragons and charmed [115394|Manticos] so that he would fight for him. He sent him against rival domains and seized their precious mineral wealth.

But as [115395|Alimus Grimgold] acquired more wealth, word of his actions reached [115396|Lavare], queen of the Earth Dragons, who got enraged and stripped [115394|Manticos] of his status as a Dragon and his ability to use elemental power.

([115366|Morrok Wallinder] excitedly plays with his hand.)

Later I departed to take care of other business.

I never imagined that I would return to this place, [115394|Manticos] however would no longer be here.

And instead of him, now you find those bandits outside.

It was a cruel punishment- a Dragon's worst nightmare.
